Greetings, I played junior varsity and lettered in varsity during my college prep years, and I was one of the better high school players in the league and area. I quit playing after high school, due to burnout (and other reasons). And I haven't played since that one time in college as an undergrad. (See my age and do the math; a long time ago). The comeback didn't take. Too soon, I guess. But my love for the game never really went away, and I have continued to follow the pros. I recently acquired a racket, and bought some balls; still need a ball basket. However, it has been surprisingly difficult to find friends who play and/or have the time. And I am relatively new to my currrent zip code. I can't even find a good wall to hit against. So it is time to try strangers on the Internet. [Fingers crossed] Tennis is a lot like riding a bike -- you don't forget how to do it, and you can do it your whole life. I have always been atheletic, but I am sure to be rusty as I work to get my timing back. To that end, I am looking to just hit, practice, and maybe play a cometively little with those who are patient, and not *too* competitive -- at least in the early going --- and even willing to teach a little as I relearn and reacquire. I entered my skilled level as Advanced Intermediate, because I am very atheletic: basketball, hiking, cycling, rugby, and more. But, as I have mentioned, it has been a while since I have played. If any of this sounds good to you, please feel free to drop me a line. Looking forward to getting out there again. Cheers, G
