A few useful details

Where do I find my racket’s tension range?

Check the racket frame, the manufacturer’s product page, or its stringing instructions. If your model is listed here with a published range, selecting it fills the numbers for you.

Does this account for my string type?

Yes. Your answers suggest a string family, and polyester or hybrid recommendations use a lower starting tension. All suggestions stay within your entered range. Your stringer should confirm the exact product and installation.

Can I use this for a pickleball paddle?

This calculator is for strung tennis rackets. Pickleball paddles do not have strings or a string tension setting.

How should I use the comfort answer?

A softer setup may change how your racket feels, but this tool cannot diagnose or treat arm pain. If playing hurts, pause and seek appropriate advice rather than relying on a string change.

What does string gauge mean?

Gauge describes thickness. Millimeters are more consistent across brands than gauge numbers. Thicker strings often improve durability; thinner strings may offer a different feel. Confirm the actual diameter with your stringer.
